pollster..? i like the idea...but it sure would be nice to comment on the fact that Patriot fans will pick their division as the strongest...even with the Bills...Dolphins...and Jets...

As the poll said (Pick the top two divisions that you think will be the strongest this year. That doesn't necessarily mean it's your favorite teams division.)
It was to get an opinion on (what all the members that cared to participate) thoughts were as to the divisions independent strengths. It also suggests that you pick two different divisions so that would give a clearer sense of what they thought other than their own division if they just automatically picked that.
We are trying to create more options for interaction here with others than we were allowed at the Old Swiss.

Just for clarification purposes, once a person votes in a poll they can not re-vote so that they would try and pad the votes. It will always be like that in the polls, although the number of votes per person can/will change depending on each poll.

All suggestions are welcomed and would be most helpful if they were sent to me via the "PM" Private Message even if you wish to post them in any forum also. That way I would be assured to recieve it as I might not see it otherwise.

Tough to vote on one single div being the strongest... Personally think it's a tie between the NFC North and NFC East - just my opinion. NFC sleeper could be Atlanta. Think I'll refrain from 'commenting' on my expectations for the AFC East

Seems we always have plenty of NE fans at Swiss - think there's 4 registered so far (Glenda, Luko, PAO and roser) w/ more to follow no doubt....

We seriously need a NYG fan or more to balance out the Cowboy fans Not sure I can rep them well enough. Gmen sure are having a tough off season w/ injuries.... hope it's not a pattern.

Once a person makes a vote then leaves the post it counts it as your choice(s). The reason that it is set up this way is because there will be polls in the future that you can have many more choices for a particular poll, but are not forced to choose all of the available picks that you may have for that poll. I hope that answers your question.

As to the "new around here," everyone is new to this new and improved version of Switzerland. I however am well versed in the Swiss players.

I wonder how many people are off today and how many are off Monday? I'm not sure what the practice is when a national holiday falls on a Sunday. Anyway, I hope that everybody enjoys the weekend. I'm sure that I'll eat too much barbecue again, since that's what all of my invitations are for. Personally, I much prefer Cajun food to barbecue, but I guess that the professional Texans wouldn't consider that. I've never owned a cowboy hat or boots, so I suppose I'm not a member of the club anyway. "Laissez les bon temps rouler."

Oh, I'm around...here and there. Looking forward to the long weekend (just not the drive to Vancouver, WA)...but still, it will be fun.

It's a 2 1/2 hour drive Emeritus...but a beautiful home, swimming pool, stellar hospitality, and most importantly - heartwarming family - await us. So I am looking forward to it.

I don't mind a long drive if most of it is through pretty country. If it's just one speed trap after another it's a bummer. Perhaps your children are old enough to be fun, but I've made long drives with young kids in the car and it was awful! Somehow the drive back was always worse. At any rate, be careful and have a good time.

It's boring, straight-freeway driving... My kids are great and self-entertain so they're not a problem. They also have a portable DVD player for the car so they can pop in a movie for the ride.
