Wanted to thank Raiders friends and fans for keeping this place going during the offseason. As preseason grows close, I anticipate it will get busier here. So many changes have been made, I can't wait to see which teams are going to come out on top. I just couldn't stand the thought of another Brady/Patriot year. My dream is to see them taken out early. That's my dream every year though, so I'm not counting on it, lol.

Thanks for your kind words rdrJoe. I've always tried to keep a place where fans can visit and talk football without threats and bullshit. I got really tired of the threats and bullies at Faux and then FB. Appreciation for your noticing. At one time we had hundreds of people here gabbing round the clock. There was always something going on anfit was a great place to visit. I'm told (but never checked out) that there are new sites people have built somewhere, although I've never found them or been a part of them and don't really care to try. I will keep Switzerland open for all as long as people continue to visit.....

We all owe you our thanks for being a human being all these years. Often I tell all human beings a very good evening, (or words to that effect) and it is meant as inclusive of humans caring for one another regardless of the gray areas that we may disagree on, but the heartfelt sincere caring for all of us as we continue through this life's trails and thrills, good and not so good, experiencing it united.

Mario is activated and going to be at this game. Which is likely enough for us to rock this world. Aldon tweeted Mack "I am back!" 2 days ago so I had hoped he would join the party. Carr isn't able to grip the ball the way he usually does and doesn't release the fast ball Gruden has described him having since college at the moment. If he can get that going again? oh yeah. Also Jack said its totally his decision as to "why" Derek isn't under center yet, but that he "can & has been in practice" but Jack is taking no chances. I know what KO said about his and the other players pro bowl selections "Osemele on making Pro Bowl: “We’re focused on winning the Super Bowl so hopefully we’re not playing in this game.” #Raiders. And I know we feel the same way.

What a difference a couple minutes can make. We were all enjoying Christmas Eve with my family and watching the Colts game wrapping up when the freak event that changes entire seasons happened. I knew it was all over watching Derek going off the field. Bo Jackson walking off after saying "of course I'm playing next week, with his son walking off with him." Toasted again. Oh well the next decade looks ultra good from here, but I WANTED THAT SB trophy! Such is life and there are far more important things in it. Exhibit A, my son deployed again on 5 Jan. to Eur and Africa (no not the nice part of it), he is supposed to be high enough up that they should not be under fire this time, but I never count on any of that stuff. If they know where you are, no matter what brass you wear they want you.

About 4-5 years old my mom told me about not getting the chance to tell her mom this before she passed (my grandma was in her late 30s) and to never let this happen with me. I have never forgotten that and it has served me well all these years.

Don't waste a day or minute without making sure they know how much you love them.
