Hi to all you fine human beings in Swiss land. I have to post this news and its terrible that it happens anywhere, but in our country to our military?

When first seeing this I selfishly thought of my son, who is in TN. sitting on the promotions board. He is safe, just landed in SD. But I guess it is just my normal reaction. It was replaced almost immediately with prayers for the families and loved ones of those murdered hero's.

They are actually "investigating" why it was done? take a look at the murdering terrorists name for gosh shakes.

I won't post anything above that post on the hero's who paid the price for our freedom. But we need this country to wake TF up right now!!!!!!! It took Europe far too long to get it, now they are totally jacked.

Not USA! Let freedom ring.

Peace !

p,s,Thank the Lord my son texted me just a while ago, he is alive and well. These great Marines paid the full price for us all. Their families and loved ones are going to keep right on paying it.

We are a broken country right now, and all we can do is hope and pray that somehow some way, we fix ourselves. When our military is being attacked--which way do we turn?

Not only are the Buffalo fans tough, but I got beaten up (long story) as I left the restroom during a game and I was jumped by a bunch of the Buffalo biker chicks. I fight with my mouth--physically I am a huge coward. MY ex sister-in-law (who really started the whole thing verbally) and I were thrown out of the game, regardless of the fact that I was the season ticket holder! My brother and husband chose to stay and watch the rest of the game, but when they found out there was a crowd of those Buffalonian broads waiting outside for us, they gave up and escorted us out.

I visited Buffalo about 30 years ago in my late teens. Did the whole Niagara Falls thing. Don't recall the attitude of the people there. But it is New York and New Yorkers are a different lot. I will take your word for it.

CK, sometimes football brings the ugly out in otherwise normal people. But the days of family fun at a lot of sporting events are rapidly disappearing. It's sad but its true.

People forget it is, after all, still just a game.

It's getting so close to season that I am actually dreaming about my seats in the new stadium! I was not happy (in last night's dream); however, I am reasonably sure that last night's dream was screwy, lol. The 'new' stadium was way smaller than the old one and the seating stunk. Good thing it was just a dream, but all any of us has seen seen is what Bonehead Ross has put up are his renderings of what he wants us to see, so it should be interesting. When passing it on the Turnpike, it looks completely different than our old JRS. It is open at all the corners and the old JRS was closed everywhere! Should be interesting--it is at least peaking my interest...

Ouch! I just watched the movie JERSEY BOYS. I wish someone had told me it was such a tear jerker! How could a movie about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons be so sad? All that fabulous music and each and every one of them lived on the edge throughout all the fame. Who knew Valli lost his daughter to a drug overdose--the daughter he sang "My Eyes Adore You" for, no less. Now I am in such a miserable funk and I have to go out with an old friend from junior high school tonight...

I was at the stadium yesterday to pick up my seat back from JRS, as they've changed from orange to teal seats. Big shot Ross, gives us junk as our "thank you season holder" gifts--then sells them to any and everyone who is interested at 20 bucks apiece. What an asshole!!!

I can't believe I fell asleep before the game!!! Had my grandson here for 3 days and he kicked my butt all over the place, lol. He decided that he loves stairs (which he does not have at home, but here at the Manor we have a 17 stair circular) and for 3 days straight, day and night, all he wanted to do was go upstairs/downstairs. He's slick that one, but I loved every second of it...

I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE SAID THIS OUT LOUD YET, BUT I SURE HOPE EVERYONE CHECKS IN HERE AT SWITZERLAND EVERY NOW AND AGAIN. THIS IS ACTUALLY A PAGE FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE SWISS FAMILY TO CHECK INTO EACH DAY BEFORE THEY GO ON TO THEIR OWN OR OTHER PAGES. IT'S MEANT TO BE LIKE "THE DAILY NEWS" AT SWITZERLAND.

ANYWAY, WHAT I WANTED TO SAY IS HOW MUCH I AM ENJOYING THE GROUP HERE AT SWITZERLAND THESE DAYS. I ALWAYS THOUGHT WHEN SWITZERLAND REGENERATED, IT WOULD BE ALL THE OLD MEMBERS. IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME WE WOULD ALSO GET SO MANY NEW ONES. YOU ARE A TREMENDOUS GROUP AND I ENJOY READING YOUR POSTS SO MUCH.

I MAY NOT LET YOU KNOW I'M HERE ALL THE TIME, BUT I TRY NOT TO MISS A DAY. NOW THAT THE SEASON IS UPON US, I'M LOOKING SO FORWARD TO SEEING THE POLARIZATION AS WE ALL HEAD FOR OUR OWN TEAM ROOMS AND GET NASTY WHEN OUR TEAMS ARE DOWN AND ECSTATICALLY HAPPY WHEN THEY ARE UP!

TO ALL OF YOU: I WISH YOU AND YOUR TEAMS WINNING SEASONS AND LOTS OF ACTION! HERE WE GO... <3 <3 <3

Morning CK!

When I get each person registered, I let them know that each team has a team page and that the Switzerland page is where everyone kind of hangs out and talks about whatever. When most start to feel comfortable I bet they drop by every now and then here. If not we can use this like we did as a two way walkie talkie. Lol

You always make me smile, kicksie!! :D Thanks for your continuous support. Because I seem to be the only Dolphin fan here (whatever happened to TryThinking?)--I use Switzerland as my home page. People see "Miami Dolphins" and fall asleep before they can even click on it (and all I do is bitch about Ross and Philbin anyway).

IDK just how smart ol Geno is? hahaha

Here is a copy of some of that story I told you about, it showed up today from an old dead site when someone liked it, it was posted months ago. lol Lot more to it and I will be glad to share. Take care. God bless.
Peace !

Tushay I saw that jersey in Jeff & Christina Lurie's (I guess we could call it a museum/gym/spa or whatever in their Beverly Hills place. He was best buds with the Fins owner (who didn't want this one of a kind memorabilia to fall into a non football mans hands, he was selling) and let Jeff have them. Man, the first time I went in there I just stopped and stared at all this! Christina had turned around and come back (she was showing me something in a room farther back), she breaks into a smile says "you like this stuff huh" I say, "is this real?" laughing she tells me the stories on it. That uniform is signed by all those legends, Morris, Csonk, Griese, Kiik, Warfield, Shula, Little, Kuech, Buoniconti, Stanfill, Manny, Scott ah all them cats. Footballs from the undefeated season SB, one of 3 on the earth the different colors all signed among others in one of the display cabinets. I asked her if I could hold it, she said sure, opens the thing up and hands it to me. I looked at all the signatures, tossed it around catching it, talk about a piece of true history. The whole room was a shrine to any NFL fanatics dreams, stuff no one sees or knows exists. Cool people, especially Christina. They aren't together now I see, but they were both just plain folks at home. I did tell them I couldn't stand the Eagles. But explained it was because of Andy pulling the field goal team off the field from the 8 yard line after sending them out on 4th down, calling time out which none of the broadcasters understood at all. Then sent the offense back out, ran the ball for a yard turning it over on downs. Not running up the score? But that is bogus. That was the last item on my six way parlay ticket costing Joe $4K. They totally understood, money was involved, that they understand completely. hahaha yeah now its funny. sorta

Later,
Peace !

WOWZER, AND HI HO TO ALL!!! I turn my back for a second and all of a sudden everyone shows up at the Swiss Forum (my particularly favorite page).

A special hello to Super Serial (and welcome back!!)--our old homies are always welcome, and as you can see, we've picked up some really terrific newbies in the last few months. Hope you're here to stay now that the season is upon us. Just a few of the old family has been around, but I'm looking forward to seeing some of the old faces as season progresses.

Thank all of you for the stories, pictures and posts about football and the respect shown for those who are out there risking their lives to save ours.

Hope we have a good weekend of preseason football ahead. With the Fins getting their butts kicked last week, is it possible that it will (at least a little) shut Philbin and his boss Ross up for awhile--although I find it hard to believe that they will ever figure out that they can brag all they want, but it's just going to make the other teams laugh that much harder when we step on the field and screw up all over again...

HAVE A GREAT GAME EVERYONE!!!!!

Good seeing you too. lol But did you see my short version story on the Fins ultimate football collection? And we can do without the seeing "old faces" bidnez. hahaha I still remember my wife's elder sister telling me about 10 years ago, "I was outside using the mirror and it was the wrong side of it. Ggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshhhhhhhhhhhhhh Joe I thought I gave myself a heart attack!" followed by #%^#%^ etc. and "I'll never make that mistake again." hahahaha I now fully understand her reasoning. But to me, its just the way it goes. Ya hang around long enough, ya gets old. So far, its been a blast. Can't see any reason to change it.

All the best, always.

Good afternoon, rdr Joe. I see you are drawing very close to "Veteran." I have to get hold of "Peace" and see what the next level up over Veteran will be at 1000 posts. I've already passed that number, and I think anyone that can talk that much about sports deserves a higher title! It will give (at least me) incentive to visit more often and complain about my Dolphins...

Speaking about my Dolphins. How 'bout 'em--and where the heck is Try Thinking so we can discuss this four-peat of losing seasons. Why do I think that just because we've already lost two preseason (as if they mean anything) games it's a harbinger of another losing season? Patterns, patterns and patterns! Just can't hold on to a lead, or in the other case, can't surpass our opponent once we get behind!!! Another year of bragging in the off season about the Dolphins being Super Bowl bound with nothing to back it up--and that includes back-up players  .

Here's to another one of THOSE seasons for my Fins, with best wishes to fans of all other teams (not the cheaters!) for all good things to come their way..

Peace !
