Amazingly enough.... he's got hair already
Has Daddy's hair line.... nose.... mouth.... shape of his face...
He's a little clone!

Everything looks PERFECT!
We're skipping any invasive tests because after a bunch of ultrasounds and blood work- risks for anything genetic are so low now.... I can't see taking the risk.

When we started we had a down-syndrome risk of 1 in 116 (because I'm old) After all non-invasive testing - it's down to 1 in over 1100.
He was a great baby and opened and closed his little hands for Doc during the ultrasound - this rules out most genetic defects as baboes with most of these problems cannot open and close their hands like that.

I'm so excited. All his little organs are functioning as they should and he's a little martial artist already.

All the work to get here is worth it.... he's going to be a perfect little man!

I can't wait to kiss his little face and be able to watch him all the time.
Due to how old I am... we have had many ultrasound dates with him and we always look forward to it. It's amazing to see how much they do and how they change even before they are born.

I wish I could see him all the time. Will also be nice when he's not sitting with his head where he likes it. He favors some rather uncomfortable spots for mom.

He is already a Patriots fan too (btw)

SHENANIGANIZER: HEY ALL…JUST STOPPING BY FOR A LITTLE HELP ASKING FOR EVERY ONES PRAYS…MY 18 YEAR OLD NEPHEW IS IN THE BRAIN DEAD, AND THEY ARE RUNNING FINAL TEST TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY BRAIN ACTIVITY BEFORE THEY PULL THE PLUG…HE WAS THROWN OUT OF THE JEEP AND THE JEEP LANDED ON HIM AFTER FOOTBALL PRACTICE…HIS COACH (SCOTT MITCHELL, QB FOR THE LIONS, AND SOME OTHER FOOTBALL PLAYERS WERE ABLE TO LIFT THE JEEP OFF OF HIM…EVERY PRAY IS HELPFUL RIGHT NOW…HE HAD OVER 200 KIDS SHOW UP LAST NIGHT FOR A CANDLELIGHT VIGIL.

You can count on it, Paul. I will also pray for the boy's parents. We all have to accept losing people who are dear to us, but there's something unnatural about having our children die before us that makes it almost unbearable.

MORNING ALL…16F, THAT IS FINE THAT YOU POSTED MY EMAIL…THE OUT POOR OF EMAILS, TEXTS, PHONE CALLS AND BLOG POSTS HAVE BEEN OVERWHELMING AND APPRECIATED, SO FORGIVE ME IF I DON’T RESPOND TO EVERY ONE INDIVIDUALLY BUT AGAIN, IT IS APPRECIATED. I THINK LATER TODAY WILL BE THE HARDEST, BRANDON WAS OFFICIALLY DECLARED BRAIN DEAD YESTERDAY BUT IS STILL ON LIFE SUPPORT UNTIL THEY CAN REMOVE HIS ORGANS FOR OTHERS TO USE…THEY EVEN TAKE THE BONES FROM HIS ARMS AND LEGS, AND HIS VEINS FROM HIS ARMS…SO IT’S KIND OF HARD TO THINK OF HIM BEING CHOPPED UP LIKE THAT BUT THE COMFORTING PART IS THAT IT WILL HELP OTHERS.
RIGHT NOW I’M AT WORK JUST TRYING TO GET THROUGH THE DAY AND NOT FOCUS ON IT BUT FINDING THAT VERY HARD TO DO…PROBABLY WON’T STAY VERY LONG HERE.

wow.... what a sad turn of events
As the mother of an 18 yr old boy....I worry about these kinds of senseless accidents.

I lost my cousin Pete - one of my very best friends to such an accident 22 yrs ago. Still hurts to think about how silly we all are as kids and how easy something can go so terribly wrong

Losing family leaves a hole in your life where they used to be. It takes a long time to work through the grief process. Then you just remember the good times that you had with them. Sadly, we don't have anything permanently, not even those that we love. I sympathize with the parents, because losing a child is especially hard.
