I think he can be. The dude was on fire the first two years and then went into the cellar. If he's coached right he can do anything he'll be tasked with on this team very well. I'm not buying into the "gloom and doom" talk about him. I feel good about it as a matter of fact. Lynch will have his chance next year once he catches up. A spread QB has a lot to learn.

I think the picture backs up Cam saying he was worried about his legs. He would have had to fall on the ball but his legs would have been in an awkward position. The ball was at a spot where he would have had to kick his legs out to fall on the ball. Falling on the ball would have been impossible without going to your knees first or placing your legs in harms way. He choice was career over game in a think fast situation.

It's really all irrelevant. The game was lost even if he jumped on the ball. If Denver didn't get it that play then it may have been the next one. I don't remember what down it was on but if Cam had recovered they may have ended up punting it on the series anyways since they lost the yardage. The truth is that Carolina came into the game cocky and arrogant and Denver hit them in the mouth to show they meant business and Carolina never regained their footing.

http://www.humankinetics.com/excerpts/e ... l-injuries

70% of ACL injuries are non contact. He actually put a higher incident rate of injury trying to avoid it than getting in the middle of it. He was pulling away from the ball well before that picture was taken. He was throwing off his back foot after the first quarter. Wade was in his head early and often. It's not a huge deal if he was gun shy. 18 was in 48, hell almost all of the players were in 48. JFE learned the most important lesson from that loss.

** In one sense, I agree with Cam, there was no way I would risk injury (potential catastrophic knee in particular) by jumping in the scrum we saw during SB50 on the other hand, based on the amount of hits 58 & 94 were dishing out that day it is also reasonable to conclude that it just wasn't worth the "extra effort".

Now, with all that being said, last I checked in order to win a championship, you have to be willing to give 200% or some such figure, I mean, I have heard as low as 110% so, maybe my math is wrong?

V. Green should get the chance to play more this season. I felt that he and Latimer didn't play much with Manning B/C Peyton didn't like playing with them for whatever reason. If they don't play more this season they have to blame themselves. Green likes Mark Sanchez as a QB and leader. We will see what happens.

Both the other QBs on the team will be hungry for those reps while Sanchez is out. Thankfully it wasn't his throwing hand but he still narrowed the gap between him and his competition.

I think no. Not unless you cut Hillman.

**I think Foster ran out of gas a couple of years ago. He is damaged goods, cannot seem to stay healthy.
On the case of Hillman, I think this is his last year as a Bronco, I know he just signed again, but his production level needs to get up closer to his pay level.

The only true "fast small guy" is Darren Sproles, boy I used to love to hate him when he was in SD.
Shanny actually thought about signing him just so we wouldn't have to play him. I guess Hillman was supposed to be in that same mold except he needs to gain about 40lbs. which would limit that speed.
No, I think we will be fine with the backs we have, they just need to learn 1 cut then hit the hole, no one gains yardage running backwards except Barry Sanders. - BTW, Hillman is no Barry Sanders Sr. or Jr.

I agree with both of you Hillman would only cost the team 500.000 in dead money this season if he is cut. Just saying, Sproles is looking for a team. I think he's almost out of gas also. Here's to Bibbs stepping up and making the team this season so we can say good bye to Hillman
