It's funny because every ring Tommy has, has come down to a single play. That's a lot of lucky bounces. There's two points in this last one where the pat's got lucky. One was Atlanta not kicking a field goal or running on 1st and goal and the other was that crazy catch that Edelman made on the next drive. The pats are good but there is a lot of luck in there too

Reading that article reminded me of Vernon Davis. I haven't thought about him since we won the super bowl  I was trying to think, has it really been that long since he's been gone? I hadn't even noticed  Maybe I would have missed him more if he had been noticeable when he was here

Siemian already out of the sling, should be ready to go by OTAs

I guess they could bring him back, but with a new contract.

There are a couple things here
1. Mr P although an incredible athlete and my example for what toughness looks like is on the wrong side of 30
2. There was no way the Vikes were going to resign him to that contract. His injury history alone is enough to say no.
3. I think some team takes a chance with him, but his contract would have some serious incentives to protect the team
I for one do not think we are a contender for his services. He needs to be somewhere like Houston or Oakland
with an offensive line that actually knows how to block.
Our line needs to go back to Pop-Warner and maybe get Alex Gibbs (if he ain't dead) back to teach them.

Yeah I doubt elway and co even look his way. Even at a reduced rate he would be more than we are going to be willing to pay. Couple that with the other backs we already have and we just don't need him. As you mentioned, he is getting old in football years and age is especially hard on RBs. I bet the Vikings resign him with a 2-3 year highly reduced contract. He accepts to stay put for the end of his career.

Berry is getting paid. I guess now we see what the chiefs do with Poe, not sure he will like being tagged

Charles got the ax to resign Berry. Now they'll use the franchise tag on Poe if he won't come to terms.

AP won't be looking for a new team if he's a team player that is. He should understand what his team is up against. So if he looks to leave without giving his team the discount I wouldn't want him. Who knows what the knee is like this time around.

Alex Gibbs? ? ? His thing was that offense we just let go. He can't help this team

That's what worries me. Honestly it wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't think we would be paying a high price for a QB that won't make it to the end of the year. I just don't have confidence that he can make it 16 games, much less to the Super Bowl which would be the whole purpose in signing him. Maybe you get a whole season out of him if he plays the first half of each game and Siemian or Lynch come in for relief in the second?

We are in a very unique position where our QBs don't cost us very much money. We need to take advantage of that and I don't think that includes signing Romo. The money can be better invested in our o-line and a nose tackle.
