Have a good weekend!

Yeah Spermano said that they got behind and had to throw it.... :?
I'm sure there is a silver lining to it somewhere.....

Ya know...lots of teams this season have suffered ugly, embarrassing losses (and fingers get pointed at the coaching, clock management, etc). Dolphins fans aren't alone. Just keep at it...still more games to play.

I'm hoping for a 500 season and a Cowher next season. :D

Morning all...
CK, TT - sorry for the loss :(
Your D hung in there and actually stat wise Thigpen had a better game than Cutler - trying to find a positive for ya...

And, not sure it'll make a difference this season but I hope you can get Bandstater on board and activated - we LOVED him in preseason here and LOTS of Colts fans were wanting him instead of Painter behind Peyton... G' Luck the rest of the way

Back to work, hey at least it's Friday. BBL~

Thanks Bags, the ever growing list of QB's since Marino is still growing...... someday we'll get a real one again.
Did you see the graphics they showed at halftime? That kind of put it into perspective.... :(
~makes out Christmas wish list~

Quarterback comparisons are so tricky. Imagine the statistics that Dan Marino would have had if the rules had been the same when he was playing. If the defenders hadn't been allowed to touch the receivers you would have needed a calculator to keep up with the scores. Or when Johnny Unitas was playing, receivers like Ray Berry had to fight their way down field and the quarterback had a target on his jersey.

Dolphins Win!! Better yet they beat the Raiders!!
They would be in contention in at least 4 divisions and leading two..... frigging Patsies and Jets

See what happens when that rude, unnecessary, waste of money, Brandon Marshall is out? Finally, that chemistry I've been complaining about (not being there) was palpable. All the receivers (think Davon Bess) played to their highest level of ability, Henne looked cool and confident because of it and even Dan Carpenter's two missed kicks were not a factor. I am impressed and hoping that they grow even closer in practice this week. My prayer (if I weren't an atheist) is that freakin' randon Marshall's hamstring breaks and takes him out of football forever (or till the end of this season, whichever comes first  ). This week we are playing in Candyland Stadium (aka Sun Life...this week--you never know, it could change on the drop of a pin; highest bidder, you know? ). Go Dolphins :!: <3

Just setting the room up for discussions about the game with the Jets today. Hopefully they will be happy, but realistically? I think we will be commiserating...
Watching Sparano this morning, on his own show and in outside interviews--he is clueless. Lots of muttering about when Marshall is healthy enough to come back--like there was so much chemistry with him and his teammates (much less his QB)--really! Yes, that, and just basic babble about converting on third downs and the special teams getting better. I think he pulled out every single platitude and yada yada he could find. Nothing real, nothing intelligent and clearly (to me, at least) the generic blabber of a coach who can see the EXIT signs and knows he will be escorted (if he's lucky) out of it in, oh say, about 4 games?! (At least I hope that's the case. I heard something Stephen Ross--the owner of the Phins--said the other day and thought to myself, "Self," (I thought) "That ass doesn't have a clue about the game of football." So, to me, (the glass that is half-empty broad)--I feel 2 alternatives are ahead: 1) Badness, and 2) Worser badness. I hope to hell that I'm wrong--I would be thrilled to find myself being teased and tortured by Try <3 . Thrilled!

Tie game--Jags just scored. 7-7 in the second quarter.

Congrats CK, TT, Dolphins fans on the win.

This is the most unprofessional incident I've ever seen in an NFL game - by a coach no less. This Jets coach should NEVER be allowed on the sideline of a game again - imo...

I totally agree with that - from now on he has to watch the game from the locker room. What if that Dolphin player had been injured in that trip/fall?

I think that the Jets and the offender should be fined just as if it had been a player who did it and that the guilty party should be suspended. There is no place in sports for dirty play.

Someone said yesterday that the NFL does NOT want to be viewed as condoning that sort of behavior ~ uh huh. We'll see.

You KNOW that players that have been fined for UNINTENTIONAL hits are going to scream BLOODY MURDER if this guy is not made an example of, or fined for his INTENTIONAL actions. He owes apologies not just to the Jets, but to the Dolphins. Jerk.

I agree on every point. This wasn't something that happened in the heat of the game, but deliberate, outright cheating. Because it was caught on tape, everybody who follows pro football knows what happened. If the NFL doesn't come down hard on it, what kind of message will it send? The guy needs to be banned from the game.

I agree with the announcer ~ Sal Alosi should be ashamed of himself.

Question: Why was Carroll running out of bounds in the first place?

Tsk tsk... I also didn't care for how arrogant some of the Eagles were in last night's game... #11 who stopped at the goal line and "fell in" for the TD? Give me a break... that wasn't necessary. I know he was flagged for it. I was surprised that Chris Collinsworth said he wasn't really guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct; I think he was.

Was a chicken shit move for sure and he WILL get fined and suspended for it I'm sure.
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets organization doesn't step forward and fire the guy.

''I wasn't thinking,'' Alosi said. ''If I could go back and do it again, I sure as heck would take a step back. It was just a situation where I wasn't thinking.''

i hear thats a problem with the whole of the Jets organization...(just kidding)

OK, the Jets fined the guy $25,000 and suspended him for the rest of the season, but didn't fire him. I haven't had any word about action by the league.

OK, my mistake. At any rate I think that the action was appropriate - unless I'm wrong about that too.

I knew you guys would be talking about this, it's bad news I agree. Brought back memories of Landry hitting an opposing player with his fist that advanced the ball near his sideline. There was no flag, no fine, and no suspension from what I remember. The NFL has certainly evolved, hasn't it?

The only coach that I could remember really losing it was Woody Hayes of Ohio State. It cost him his job after a great career.
