Thank you so much for making that point about Romo, TC. It never fails to amaze me how the commentators continuously make excuses for Romo's poor play. He just seems to be their darling, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why.
Oooof! Nice to see a great play by Brandon Marshall--totally ruined by a bad penalty. The idiot announcer sez it's Phins' first of the day, but I recall at least two prior--offsetting penalties--but nevertheless against the Dolphins.
The momentum is certainly back in the Dome--and Henne is dropped again.
Third and Nineteen--if they ran it with third and twenty...Time Out. Our offense is its own worst enemy!!!

My, my, but this game is flying by! Three o'clock and third quarter is just about over, with the momentum and all the odd back to Favre and 'his' team. I sure would like to see us pull this game out and pop it into the 'W' Column... It's been so long since we've started 2 and 0. OMFG, could it be??? No, dammit--only 'Running into the Kicker.' Fourth and 2 with Sparano arguing it should be 'Roughing' the kicker.. Still punting and they have it on the ten yard line...

I am so freaking stupid. I just realized that the boys in the booth are pulling for the Vikes! That's why they've made the huge fuss about every one of the Dolphin mistakes and played down all of the Vikes' mistakes. They practically had an orgasm every time Petersen ran with the ball...

Thank you so much, Lady...but of course, we disagree about Favre. After last year's horrendous beating, 16 vicious hits, I saw something in Favre's eyes--that something that I've seen before in other player's eyes--a very painful resignation, and recognition that it was all over for him. I don't know how Childress got him to agree to come back (I don't believe it's the money, because I don't think he needs any more of it), but somehow he did. I saw the shots of him walking into the stadium--last week and this week. His gait was slow, his head was down. He looked old. He looked nothing like the Brett Favre I've watched throughout the years--not even a little bit. There were no smiles or runs down the field to hug a receiver. This is a man who is ready to put the football away, and I believe he will in not too long. No way he's gong to make it through the season. It saddens me tremendously (maybe because I'm feeling so old and sorry for myself lately, ha ha).

JEESH, the Colts are beating the living daylights out of the Giants. I know Ms Bags is pulling for Indy, but it has got to be difficult for her to see her other team taking a whipping like this one!

Anyone who knows you knows of your die hard allegiance to the old man... I'm just done being impressed with him anymore. If he keeps up with his current performances, he's going to be the laughing stock of the NFL. Sad way to go out...(but I don't feel sorry for him).

And you are entitled to feel any way you wish--that's the beauty of Switzerland. :D
In his defense, I would like to share some interesting "insider info" that I received a few days ago. I absolutely would have shared it sooner, but I was having serious computer problems (I'm sure I still am with the blue screen stuff), however, in addition to the blue screen problem, Our router went bad and although I've had moment to moment access, I haven't had an opportunity to know I'll be here long enough to complete this little tidbit...
The deal is (was?) this: After that playoff game where he got so beaten up (and injured) by the Saints, the decision to retire was not difficult. That game brought home to him just how much the aging process affected him. Everyone knows that Favre wanted to go out "on top," and it was clear to him that that year was as close as he was going to get. He did inform Childress of his decision to leave the game (as well as some of his key teammates).
Everyone figured by the time this season got closer, he would change his mind, which he did NOT. He was still hurting from that last game and had serious issues with his ankle. When his teammates realized that he was for real this time, the started applying pressure to him to "get past it" and get on with preparation for this season--which we all know, he did NOT. In the end, however, with Childress and teammates continuing their agenda of pushing him to play, he caved and there he was at game 1, suffering physically (and mentally--unforgiving of his own decision to give in and play). Needless to say, this last game against the (really, when you think about it) unproven Dolphins did not help.
It not only didn't help, but rumor has it, has made him even more sure that he should NOT be playing football. He knows it isn't going to get better, and with divisional games (f'rinstance: Green Bay), it can only get worse. He wants out, regardless of what anyone (everyone) thinks. My source (who shall remain nameless, but is very reliable) tells me his days are numbered. REALLY. No B.S. NO Backsies!
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST...

BTW: GOOD MORNING, SWITZERLAND!!!
