I haven't seen the Vikings in preseason. We did play the Saints the second game and they looked at least as good as when we played them last year, at least on offense. Since they are playing at home, I'd give them the edge. Remember though, that I'm just terrible at picking winners.

Well he's been telling me for a year and a half that he would meet me for lunch in Seattle when he's here. But he never has. I give up on him.

I'm sure that it's a case of being unable to, LadyHawk. I won't quote Bobby Burns, but there are always things to interfere with our plans.

I doubt it, TT. He's had plenty of fun while he's been here. He's said so himself. Whatever. I'll get over it.

happy to START the season with a wrong pick in the first game...thought pregame was a little lengthy...if favre wasnt gassed in the 2nd half...the Vikes might have won...maybe...

I think it was obvious that there was some timing issues which will get better as they move forward. That's what happens sometimes with limited practice and missing pre-season.

"Limited practice and missing pre-season."

So in a nutshell, Brett Favre let his team down. He looked old and tired last night.

He took most of the blame after the game, but it was obvious the some of the receivers didn't finish their routes in man to man. That will come I think the more they work together as they should have.
Personally I love watching the guy play on the field and I hope he can shed some of the rust and they can gel as a team. I like good football no matter the team.

I enjoy good football as well. Maybe 3-4 weeks down the road he'll be solid. But that's 3-4 weeks that should have been spent warming up in preseason. You don't take 3-4 weeks in the regular season to get your rhythm. I'm starting to lose respect for the man. Sorry.

GOOD MORNING, SWITZERLAND!

I don't think Favre should take the blame for that loss. There were others who weren't 100% (including receivers). It's easy to say "Favre missed practice so it's all his fault," but I do not see it that way. He missed practice so he could play during this season. He doesn't just "look" old--he IS old, especially for a first string QB that has started almost every game of his career. Think about it. :|

It's all good, no need to be sorry. I just hope he gets back to the form he showed last year because I love seeing that desire in the game no matter who it is. There's no arguing that he should have been back in camp earlier as they all should be whatever his reasons.
