No, I never saw that one, Em. Sometimes, when things get really awful, I'll ask that my friend's prayers for me get answers, lol. I guess that's cheating, huh?

No, I don't think so at all. I'm reminded though, of the man who asked a nun, "Sister, will you pray for me?" She replied, "Pray for yourself. There's nothing God so loves as the sound of an unfamiliar voice."

What that means to me, Claudia, is that you DO believe in a higher power or God. You just don't want to admit it for whatever reasons. If you didn't believe in God or a higher power, you would ask people to pray. Because YOU have to believe prayer works or else you wouldn't ask your friends to pray to their God for you.

It's easy for people to believe in the devil because he shows up in our lives so much more often. But we allow him in. And God doesn't intervene, per se. God doesn't test us; the devil does. God wants to see what sort of character we have to overcome the devil's interferences in our lives...there is tremendous positive energy that comes from faith and believing in God. Give it a try...you may be surprised how your life transforms. :)

You want to hear about a miracle? I once won a big chili cooking contest. I'm pretty sure that they confused mine with somebody else's. I'm way more into Cajun cuisine than Tex-Mex.

Come on, Em. This is STC's room, and she's sick to her stomach. You have to keep chili and texmex stuff where she doesn't have to think about it, lol.

Sorry, I assumed that after eating hospital food anything at all would sound good. I'll bet that you could search a gigantic hospital kitchen from one end to the other without finding any seasonings whatsoever. It's bad enough being so ill that you must be hospitalized without having to endure the food. Only a hospital could make being fed intravenously the better option.

It's my understanding that she is MOSTLY being fed through an IV line...rarely is she able to eat food. Poor thing.

not that hospital food is anything to write home about... but I am sure she would rather be eating even that stuff

When was the last time that we had a report on STC's condition? I know that Kicks is exhausted, but he's our only contact and that at second hand.

This is getting frustrating. Waverly was doing so very good late yesterday and was down to one IV of antibiotics. Then they gave her another IV which screwed up her vision and had her seeing a sort of purple haze. Then in the middle of the night her blood pressure went through the roof and her abdominal pain has returned. Damn it.

Please feel free to change your avs back. She saw them all and smiled and laughed yesterday. I can’t believe she regressed again. I don’t have any further news. Wish it was better.

Perhaps she is doing better today. I hate to bother kicks for a second update--he tells me he is inundated with calls and texts about her condition. He's a one man band there, unfortunately. I know any one of us would go out there in a heart beat to give him some support. He also has that little thing called a job. It has to be a bitch to be him right now--and Waverly.

I'm sure he's overwhelmed right now. If I see an update at iSports, I'll post it here.

Good Evening All!
(I’m Baccccccck)

Thank you all for keeping my spirits up while I was in the hospital. Kicks would show me your great comments and sentiments. I appreciate all of the cat inspired avatars and they always brightened my day!

I spent 8 days at the hospital. That and more many new IV’s as they just could not seem to get it right until the last one of course (lol) Tests were done upon tests without a whole heck of a lot, but speculative could bes’ They actually gave me the the wrong IV last night and had me seeing in purple (Jimmy, I get it now I really do:o)

So, Helga (that is what I will call her) comes in last night at midnight demanding my heart monitor? I was a bit confused as of course I did not have one… :Schreeeched get out of my room: Not a restful night with pictures of 300 damsels ploka’ing about your cranium.

So finally back at home feeling better and with some appointments with gastro-specialists next week not guesstro guessologists. I should hopefully be back on the road the recovery.

Once again, thank you all for the kind words and gestures and allowing me to be a person worthy of you missing and carry about.

Love,
Wave~

I ended up out in Kicks & Waverlys neck of the woods today, but unfortunately I was too tied up with previous plans we couldn't get together. (even though they were very generous in inviting me)
I did talk to both of them on the phone and they both sounded very good! I'll make it back up and spend an extra day next time you guys, promise.
It was wonderful talking to you both and thanks for whipping up that magnificent lightning storm!!!

I didn't think TryThinking had an iSports account? I've never seen him there. Anyway, I see the Kitty has been there pretty much all day today, Claudia. So its all good.

Yeah I've had one there since way back when Utah wrote his first column there about Denver. I just don't post there any longer.

I'm so happy to see your Ebjet icon back at work, TT. Now I KNOW it is truly football season, lol.

Thanks, LadyHawk--good to know all is back to normal for the kitty. I hope she stays healthy and happy...
