Hey LH~ I thought the Dallas page was the joke page, lol.

Do you know who "Peddlefest" is? I'm thinking it's our dear friend Paulie under another of his many identities...

Peddlefest...? I haven't a clue. Perhaps you should ask the site Administrator. Maybe trade some "special favors" for the inside information if you have to...

(whistles innocently...giggles)

I wondered the same thing, but it seems easier to just accept him (?) as peddlefest and not worry about who he(?) was before.

Why whatever do you mean by "special favors," LH.

I have such a difficult time remembering you as LH--"HG" still makes me think of you. I suppose eventually I'll get used to it. :?

Agreed... doesn't matter who "he"/"she" is.

HA HA HA HA!!! You're playing coy...that's funny. You can still call me HG. I'm cool with that CK. :D

Well Peddlefest (he/she/shim?) hasn't posted yet--just registered. That's a nice feature of this place, being able to see who is online, so long as they don't "hide." It's kind of nice to know how many people are hanging out so you know whether or not to bother posting.

It was good to see Glenda around too. I miss her a lot.

Thanks, HG. I'm working on it.

Emeritus? You're finished with the chemo/radiation now? I thought I remembered that, but it has been such a chaotic couple of months in my life, I'm not sure what is real and what is imagination. I think I left a good portion of my mind in the hospital! I'm just now starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together, and there are big chunks of my memory that I might never get back.

I do believe I am neck in neck with Em on the upper end of the age scale here; however, I am interested in what you have to say, HG. :?:

I'm off treatments until September, when I'll have another PSA. I'm so grateful just to not be sick and weak all of the time. Taking chemotherapy is better than dying, but that's about all that can be said for it. At least I had a condition that could be treated, so I'm luckier than some. Sometimes I have to remind myself of all of my reasons to be grateful.

I guess the older we get, the larger the odds are that something will go wrong. I've always been super-strong and rarely ill. Because of that, I find it even more difficult to deal with this mess of illness I've faced over the past few years. Having a crippling disease has become second nature to me, but this last batch of crap really knocked me down and it's like "I've fallen and I can't get up," lol.

I've lived a lot in my years, so I'm content. I did a lot of foolish things, but at least I dared to do them. One thing that I'm sure of is that caring for people is the most satisfying thing that I ever did.

Good night, Em. Enjoy your movie.

I can't even find a decent movie to watch tonight. After this episode of "Bones" is over--there's not another decent show on anywhere...

Don't ya hate that? All those paid-for channels and nothing is on. Especially in the morning on weekends - all those "infomercials." Grr.

Weekends are the WORST! Peter goes nuts. Not only do we pay for the great privilege of having cable, but 90% of programming on the weekends happens to be infomercials. Such garbage, and there's really no solution. We cut back to basic cable!!!

I don't know about that small avatar issue--maybe Peace is working on it, but I understand that once you get the hang of the resizing thing, it's quite simple.

dred, post the image that you want to use here as an attachment. I'll download it and resize it to fit, then post it back. Then you can download it and use it as your avatar.

I wish that I had seen Peace's instructions before I started struggling with my own avatar. I don't think that it can be made much more simple. Of course at the time I didn't know where the instructions were or even that there were any. I highly recommend that newcomers follow his advice.
