Those DANG Bengals!! I wanted them to WIN last night. Soooo close too. I was on the edge of my seat on their final drive down the field. When they failed on 4th down, I did a big loud RASPBERRY at the television screen.

My 9 yr old son was walking down the hall, heard me and said "Geez Mom!"
I responded "That was a raspberry with my mouth!"

He said "Oh. Cuz I was just gonna say "I'm so proud of you!"

HA HA HA HA HA!!! Boys...

I'm not a Steelers fan, but I pulled for them last night because I'm no fan of some Cincinnati receivers.

I can sure understand that. :D

But I'll just never be a Steelers fan ~ those guys get away with a lot of crap. And last night the Bengals got a huge 1st down and it got called back on a totally bogus "holding" call (which on replay, Jon Gruden (or was it Jaworski? They sound a lot alike to me) said - "Nope, sorry, that's not holding" and it clearly wasn't.)

I remember the play. The Steelers get a lot of calls. Just ask the Dolphins.

GOOD MORNING, SWITZERLAND! (Oops...I mean AFTERNOON. Time flies when you're having fun... )

I don't know what it is about Pittsburgh, but I do know that the penalty calls were really hinky when we played them this year. Not to say that there haven't been a whole bunch of really bad calls this year, but it seemed to be even worse against the Steelers...

............A quick station break from the NFL to NCAAFB - It's time to ditch the BCS computer and install a pure playoff system for D-1 football. My Horned Frogs are #3 in the nation, we're #2 in the Sagarin ratings but the damn computer will probably screw us again this year. I'd love to see us play Oregon in the title game. We'll probably get Boise State though.

Unplug the computer NCAA!

In my OPINION (which we all have), the Steelers get more calls in THEIR FAVOR than any other NFL team.

So I found it a huge joke that Troy Palomalu had the audacity last week to complain that Roger Goodell has "too much power."

You're welcome Em. I think it's funny the asst coach yelled out "walk off another 5 yards - it was a 10 yard penalty" right next to the ref.

Stunning Team Collapses

PostPosted: Wed Nov 10, 2010 12:51 pm

NFL HEADLINE SAYS "Most Stunning Team Collapses in History" with a photo of the Cowboys' backup QB, Jon Kitna. My thinking is if the MEDIA wouldn't OVER-HYPE things so much, we wouldn't "witness" these "stunning collapses." No disrespect to the Cowboys fans, but like Jon Gruden said on MNF, "Why are we talking so much about bad teams when there are so many GOOD teams to talk about?"

I guess that the reason is because it's something of a mystery just why the Cowboys are so bad. They have talent everywhere, but they keep losing. When my Texans lose it is no surprise - they have the worst pass defense in my long memory. If you want to pick up fantasy points, just pick up the quarterback and receivers facing the Texans each week. It's harder to put a finger on why the Cowboys have played so badly.

See, I don't get it. If they have "talent everywhere" then why aren't they 6-1 or 7-0? That doesn't compute. Do you mean individual talent that is 100% ineffective when combined with other individual talent? They just SUCK this season. Plain and simple. And maaaaaybe the media should stop over-hyping the "big market share" teams at the beginning of every season....heck, don't over-hype ANY TEAM. Look what happened to the poor 49ers!!

As I said, it's a mystery. Mysteries interest most people.

As JJ said "he can't put a finger on the problem because he doesn't have enough fingers". Multiple problems from the owner down, if he ever let's his ego hire a real football GM then things will start to change in D. Not gonna happen though.

I think the players just stopped playing with passion a few weeks back and that escalated the spiral into oblivion. Things will not change on Garrett's watch either. They've also been decimated with injuries...the saga continues.

On a side note, I'm glad to hear Sing is sticking with T-Smith.

they are a bunch of talented...undisciplined individuals...who cant or wont play as a team...
