HELLO??? Preseason wk 1 is almost over .... Thoughts here ???
Think the Colts only suffered a J Silva injury - and it looks like Brandon James might have inherited a bit of his Uncle Edge's talent - hope so.

Well, it's a good thing Peyton has only missed one snap his entire career cause if he should go down, well there's a reason he's the current and 4 time MVP :D
Painter - ugh....
Say, whatever happened to the Dolphins White - and that wildcat formation???

hmmm, just haven't heard much about White and knew he was a great pick - pretty versatile player as I recall. Honestly, I believe the Dolphins have a good chance at the AFC East - the Revis holdout and the bravado talk might have the Jets thinking ahead of themselves and well, NE .. Pass rush???? Holt now done for the season, Moss in his last contract yr, Welker???

I'm hoping that we stay healthy through the pre-season and then let it all hang out in week 1.... we don't have a real easy schedule, but we have some good talent if we can pull it all together. I want to hear Henne to Marshall, TOUCHDOWN!!! many times this year.

Seems like lots of teams have already been bitten by the injury bug.... makes you understand why the players don't want to extend the reg season by 2 games (reducing the preseason to 2 games).
Henne to Marshall works for me! Phins are my fav in the AFC East. Still have Pennington on the roster? Not sure who backs him up...
Now don't go picking on Teebow!

Sorry but I'll be picking on Tebow for quite some time until he can show me something talent wise on this level.

The third & fourth string were getting to him... the Broncos may use him in their version of the wildcat come season time, who knows..

Didn't get to see him play but agreed who knows what kind of a QB he'll be - will leave it at that... Dumervil has to be a huge loss to them but it's a weak div. Actually I would not be surprised to see KC surprise some folks. They now have Paoli, Crennel and Weiss (sp on all?).
Most improved team this season? KC or the Lions? (yep I said it)

No I agree, they probably have gotten better and Stafford will be a bit more seasoned. (I'm not sure if that will make him more appetising or not) :D

Well, the Colts have won 12+ games 7 seasons in a row but most of do not take it for granted and the TX's are legit - 2 close games last season. They are only team I see challenging in our div.
Cushing out wk 1 as far as I know .... Sure hope Sanders, Freeney, Clark et al are good to go - should be a great season opener!
Bout time to say G' NIght...

Good morning Switzerland!

I know everyone is refreshed after a full NFL weekend.

I feel like a new person. Even though the Phins looked a little rusty (and I am being kind, as anyone who saw the game knows), I hold hope that they will be in sync by the end of the 4 games, and come out in September as though they want to win a SB...

Well, my Texans looked the same. They are very good as long as Matt Schaub is playing, but there's a big drop off when he comes out. Our first-string defense looks really good, but the people who were playing in the fourth quarter should be shown the door. I guess that it's the same with most teams of course. The starters start because they are better than their backups. Duh!

Ha! Em: I just left my comments about the Phins on The Lounge place.
I feel so bad when I post over there. Reecey gave us that topic room and then left. It's just not the same here in Switzerland without Reecey...

I agree, ck. I invited Reecey to the old Switzerland because I appreciated his sense of humor. Don't you believe that humorous people are smart people? Perhaps it just seems that way when their sense of humor is the same as our own.

Yes, Em--I too love funny people. Remember the fun back when we'd come on in the morning and PAO, Kicks and Reecey had been up during the wee hours posting. It would always start my day with a big smile. I guess times change and you just have to move on. Let's see what this season brings...

I remember it well. I'd have to go back pages and pages to catch up with all of it. I don't think that any of them work those same hours now, though.
