Did you ever notice that when you check the Board Index to see if anyone is here that you know, there are always at least 1, sometimes 2 "guests" online here? Do you ever wonder who they are? I do. I wonder if they are the same guests all the time, or different ones--or even if they've come back and how many times. Then I wonder why they don't just register, step right in and visit with us. I'm just sayin'...

I also wonder if they can read anything that's going on on the boards, or if they're just sitting outside trying to figure out how to get in.

At the moment it says "Emeritus and 0 guests." Actually, I don't know what is meant by guests.

"Guests" I believe, would be unregistered visitors, checking out Switzerland. I suppose that's a question we should throw out to Keeping the Peace--he would have to know.

Yeah dred. I think here it must mean either (or both) those who have signed up, but haven't as yet posted, or those who have never signed up and are curious to know what this place is all about and/or thinking about joining and once again, ha ha, curious to know what this place is all about. Or it could be regulars who haven't signed in that particular time and are checking new posts to decide if they want to discuss any of the topics that are active that day...

The Google "Bot" has to do with the system we have knowing who has been here, where they come from, how often they stop by, and all of those good things...

its an internet tool...we used it at a non profit to justify keeping the website...hits per day...week...month...year...most folks end up coming from some search engine anyway...but...we used the control panel to gather the stats...
