Sorry, I was getting a little cataloging done. If I let too much time without working on it I get to feeling guilty. How are you today?

If it weren't for visitors this topic would be canceled for lack of interest.

I don't know. I elected him club president in absentia, which should have taught him to show up.

Uh-oh. Sorry Em. I think I haven't been in Swiss since Monday or Tuesday. I'm so glad that football is here now, and I'm very interested to see everybodies final cuts!

CK. Antonio Bryant is injured right now, but he would be a splendid #2 or #3 receiver for you guys. He just had an injury settlement with Cincy, so I think he can be brought in for cheap too. The only thing is, I don't know how serious his injury has been. TO's stellar play for Cincy made Bryant expendable. 8 million dollars for a couple of months of doing nothing. Where can I sign up for that kind of job? I might have to get an extensive prison record just they can view me as a seriously qualified applicant.

Good luck to you too HG! I have question...I saw that Seattly has Houshmandzedah on the trade block. What happened there?

There's not a lot coming out in the news here. But TJ has been a bit mouthy about the Hawks since he came on board, and I'm not sure if Coach Carroll likes his attitude. He's been a decent receiver, so I'm not sure what's up really. He was quoted as saying he has never NOT been wanted before, so this is a new feeling to him.

He should go twist his hair into locks and stop acting like a little bish. "Waahh Nobody Wants Me."

Why do we hear that so much these days? Players have turned into muscular sissies.

Housh is a fan-favorite that's for sure. A lot of fans are gonna be pissed if we don't get some good compensation for him.

The Texans just signed Derrick Ward (recently cut from the Bucs).

He probably wishes he was still in New York. At least then he got a third of the carries doing the RB by committee with Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. He went to Tampa for the money, and quickly saw himself cast to the bottom of their depth chart.

He is a perennial 1,000 yard receiver. Averages around 8-10 TD's a year for the last four seasons or so. So, yeah, yall should get something good.
Maybe yall could ship him to Buffalo for Marshawn Lynch? Then yall would get that spectacular RB that yall have always been wanting.

I had a hunch in the back of my head that said the Texans would make a go at Derrick Ward, and I turned out to be right.

After the way he played two seasons ago in NY, how could someone not want that guy? I don't understand the Buccaneers anyway.

Here's a link if you wanna read about it...I'd prefer to keep Housh and CUT. THE. BRANCH.

Looking at this article, it brings things to light about it. Wow. Carrol wants to try a bunch of unprovens over him? Yeah, I'm confused as hell.

So far, I'm pleased with all of the moves that the Texans have made. You can't judge by one preseason game, but the Texans looked pretty solid against the 'Boys.

I haven't seen any of the Texans' games yet. I guess I'll see them during the regular season--and up close and personal on the MNF game in Indy. I can't wait for that one! I love Ms Bags, and any chance I get to spend time with her is a treat for me. (This year it will be a Trick or Treat :) :D  .)

You can't tell much by preseason games anyway. We didn't look good against the Saints, but we manhandled the Cowboys. In the preseason only the Saints scored on our first team defense. The key to our season will be keeping Matt Schaub healthy.

I know there's a lot you can't learn from preseason games; however, it would seem that we could get some idea of our QB's relationship with his receivers. That being said, we could discern from this preseason that Henne to Hartline is definitely in the process of becoming a good team. (Note, I didn't say "great" team, but I would hope it could grow into one.) It also seemed pretty clear that "Henne to Marshall" needs a great deal of work--on Marshall's end particularly..

For starters, maybe; but getting some rhythm going is right up there with the health!
