If anybody else ever shows up, I'll call the first meeting to order. Oh well, there are no bandwagon fans here.

Having a Texans fan club is like trying to clap with one hand.

Texans Fan Club; The Teal Zone... Not seeing the love, LOL--but they have us, Em! You know who I'm concerned about, though? FX3. He seems to have disappeared from everywhere. I feel awful about that, because he was such a great fan and artist. I'm hoping he'll show up during season and perhaps bring his son to a Dolphin game again this year.

I miss him too, ck. Besides his talent, he was entertaining and friendly.

Somewhere in the distance a lone wolf cries out. A tumbleweed blows down the middle of a once thriving Texan town. The rider on the pale horse slowly eases his six shooter out of its place from the holster. He is still chewing on a blade of buffalo grass that he got several miles back up the dusty trail. He has that certain twinge in his eye that he gets right before trouble starts. Only this time he hopes to wipe it out before it starts. Sweat starts to trickle down the side of his face, he cocks the six shooter. Suddenly , out of nowhere, there is movement behind him! He slides from his saddle and in one swift motion brings up the pistol and levels it on an.........armadillo?!?! He stands and dusts off his mackinaw as a little smirk forms on his weathered face. He realizes this town is empty and has been for a long time. He steps back up into the stirrup and quietly nudges the horse through the little ghost town. At the end of the dusty street he turns and says with a great deal of authority..."GO COLTS!!!"He turns and quietly fades into the darkness of the surrounding hills

I want to thank our most welcome visitors for dropping by. We are pleased to have the contingent from our respected division foes the Colts. Don't the other teams in our division have any fans? I'll have to go take a look.

Where have you been today, Em? I was waiting my morning coffee to have it with you this morning, but I haven't seen you around...

Sorry, ck. I was waiting at the doctor's office before it opened this morning, hoping for some relief from this earache. Sure enough I have an infection and I got some antibiotics.

Oh good, Em. I am glad you took care of it. You can't be too careful--you especially! Peter has diverticulitis, and he's always slow to respond when he gets an attack. He doesn't like going on antibiotics, and with that he needs to go on some heavy duty drugs that make him really nauseas, but I nag him to take care of it right away. It's a stretch because of all the antibiotic abuse--"Give me a Z-Pac, doc," has led to the uber-infections. What a world!

Greetings. I want to welcome you all to this meeting of the Houston Texans fan club. Let's all fill out and wear name tags until we get a chance to know each other. I hope that we have enough chairs to accommodate everybody.

Everybody keep quite while I call the roll:
"Emeritus." "Here."
"Reecey. Reecey?"
That completes calling the roll. Everybody as you were.

I was just a titch late for roll call, Em. I'll try to do better in the future. I'm sorry there aren't any other real Texan fans around--I'll look around and try to recruit for you... :D

I actually have a game tomorrow night. I might go with Peter, but I doubt I'll be able to find anyone else who wants to brave the heat (even after dark). My son Zack, who is one of my regular game-goers, my son Josh who is another and my friend Alexandra are all out of town. Most of my seat mates refuse to attend preseason games, so it would be kind of strange... I can watch it home on the big screen, sipping iced drinks and eating a quiet dinner, which seems to be the better choice right now...
