So, I've been hanging out in this lounge since a bit before 5:30, hoping to see Reecey, and as per my agreement to meet with Ms Bagsy here this evening, and once again, I'm drinking alone. (((((Leans across the bar and beckons the tender: "'Scuse me, young man. I'll have another of these. Not quite so dirty this time, okay?" Looks around the room again, seeing no one coming in or going out...)))))

ck!!! *Cheers* - let's just say I'm glad this day and week are over....

And, I honestly don't think it can be any hotter in Miami than it is here - ugh. I am already tired of the heat and humidity and it's only mid July...

You doing OK?

Oh, since this is the 'Lounge', want to throw around some ideas for topics????

I'm good, Bagsy. I started my day early--my dear Joy (per my request) woke me up early early this morning, and we went walking. We're going to do that every day--she's been doing it anyway on her own, so I am thrilled that she is willing to slow her pace a bit to include me in on her private time. I need to get myself back into Football season shape! I have gained several pounds during this illness, and unfortunately it seems I will have to work a lot harder to get it off (and KEEP it off) now. Bad news all around, but I won't let it get me down.

Well, if you recall I walk about 2 miles a day and have always considered it "free therapy". It's just become part of my lifestyle. Having someone to walk with will make a difference and if you have the luxury of picking your time of day (early before the heat is too oppresive), you should be fine. Glad to hear it - hope you're able to keep it up.

BTW, have to say, your posts are pure Miami w/ all the different colors - reminds of your stadium er "art" - lol! (No offense...)

I don't know who those people are, Ms B. I send a welcome letter to everyone who signs up at Switzerland, and neither of them has responded nor have they posted here. In fact, many people have signed up here and not posted. We have what? 40 people signed up here? Only about five or six of us post, if that many.
Of course you can suggest topics--and all you have to do is put them up there on the Board (you don't even have to suggest, just put them up). We have a lot of topics up there, just not many posting being done  ...

LOL on the "colors" remark, Bags. Only those who have been to, what are they calling it this week, "Sun Life Stadium(?) could appreciate that though, I think.

We have very little choice of when to walk here. It's either early a.m. or later in the p.m. Any other time is too brutal to bear! Going from the car to the house or the house to the car are about our only options, and I'm not lyin' about that! As lovely and brisk as our winter was this year, this summer is oppressive and miserable...

I have to run--my roast is burning. We'll talk later! I love you...sorry about this. c.

Well no doubt most football fans are MORE than ready for football (and um, autumn weather in my case...) but folks are on summer vacation and enjoying the outdoors. Football news is zilch till training camp starts unless you want to hear TO rant about his perceived value as a WR???? Puhleaaaaaase, if no team picked up M Harrison, does he really think he'll get picked up. Oh, forgot about his "ego"...

Topics??? Was thinking dred never get his 'cheerleader' day but not sure that is a "topic" - HA!

Trivia (doesn't even have to be just football)???

~(sprays the room for Colts fans)~

They move quickly during their infestations. You have act swiftly, jump on them quickly.

HA - not sure you can act "swift" enough or jump "quick" enough - much like the Colts opponents, teams we will not mention...

Have to run but I'll leave the "Lounge" w/ a trivia ?

2 colleges each have 3 SB winning QB's among their alumni (the most of any college). Colleges? QB's? I would say no 'googling' but it may take that. Kind of surprised me.... And no, it's not TN or obviously Peyton!

Will check back later~

I'm thinking Michigan is one. But the only QB I can think of is Brady.
HHHHmmmm......

Yep. I'm gonna need to google that. I likey Bags I likey.

As of the 2007 season:

1) Alabama - Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Ken Stabler
2) California - Joe Kapp, Craig Morton
3) BYU - Jim McMahon, Steve Young
4) Maryland - Boomer Esiasom, Neil O'Donnell
5) Notre Dame - Daryle Lamonica, Joe Theisman, Joe Montana
6) Purdue - Bob Griese, Len Dawson
7) Stanford - Jim Plunkett, John Elway
8) Washington State - Drew Bledsoe, Mark Rypien

I gave a slight thought at Notre Dame, but backed off of it. I definitely wouldn't have thought Alabama. When people think Alabama, they think of the defenders that they have put out over the years. Especially over the last two decades. That was a GREAT question.

Good Morning...

Reecey, Daryle Lamonica??? Don't believe he ever won a SB but you're close

Alabama is correct and the other is Purdue (Bob Griese, Len Dawson and.... Drew Brees)

Both surprised me. As tough as it was here when the Colts lost the SB :( Drew Brees has lots of local fans from his days at Purdue (only an hour from Indy).

Have to get some things done outside before it gets any hotter. BBL~

Oh, and by the way, Griese may have gone to Purdue, but as far as we down here look at him, he is a MIAMI kind of a guy!
