Stopped by just to visit. I'm not big on leftover steak. I love it on the first day, but after that, it just doesn't taste the same. Ice cream? I can eat it as long as there's some in the container. Steak? First day only... :D

I think that leftover steak makes a wonderful sandwich, but hey, everybody's different.

I don't mind it in a sandwich as a leftover. A little lettuce, tomato, some Vidalia onion, perhaps some steak sauce too--that would work. My sons went out to dinner earlier, but came back with groceries and about 8 different cheeses (NO exaggerating!). They made an exceptional looking (and smelling) corkscrew macaroni and cheese dish (bacon and onions in it as well)... Um, I'm going downstairs and getting a plate of it right now... :D

This has been fun, but I'm off to go dining and dancing. My favorite dance band is playing at the club tonight. Everybody have a good evening.

You too have a wonderful evening, Emeritus. "Remember the Titans" is on, so I'm set for the night--and after that "Criminal Minds."

The sandwiches are just delicious, Em. Thank you so much! It's been a long, crappy day for me, so it's nice to sit down and have some quiet time and good food.

Open the bar! I want to celebrate the Texans going up in the rankings, even though it makes no sense to me.

Sorry, Em. Haven't had much of an appetite since that game on Sunday. I just can't get past how blatantly wrong that call was, and how in the end, no one is screaming out about it, except me--and I am so, so hoarse!

It was such a bad call that I'm surprised that there has been no buzz about it myself. But you know that you have to put it behind you, ck.

The problem is that there are so many bad calls that no one stands out for long.

Not much of a crowd in here today. Maybe we need to hire a band.

How much of Brett Favre's interview did you guys watch earlier today? I watched Childress point the blame at everyone but himself. I watched Brett take a lot more blame than he probably should, and he even took a partial jab at Childress. Will he play or not this upcoming weekend though? That we still don't know. The press conference was utterly a waist of time. The Vikes really don't have time to take any games off. If they think Tavarres Jackson can win the next game or two then by all means let him play. Favre has "Fractures" in his foot, in addition to the ankle problems that he already had and the bum shoulder. As much as I'm disgusted with him right now, I have to say, that that boy is still a warrior. I wish I would have caught his wife speaking out in an interview a week or two ago. I missed that. I would have liked to see what she had to say about things.

Been working all day so I didn't get to see the interview(s), but Bretts wife basically just said her faith is getting her through it right now and really didn't touch on more of it.

Strong woman. I respect her for it. Can't say that I'd do the same if I were in her shoes.

Tell you one thing though, this WILL be Brett's last season. I bet you she makes him promise to that. He couldn't handle the distractions and attention too well.

Yep even before these last transgressions, I said that this WILL BE his last season no matter what. With this, I'm sure of it.

We can only hope...I'm quite tired of him now. There's already enough ego to go around the NFL.

It was much cooler this morning - in the Fifties. I went to a favorite Cajun place and had gumbo for lunch.
