A NEW WEEK - JUNE 21ST

I gave up Face Book, even though it had some uses. It kept offering new things to do, but they wanted more information for everything. I became concerned about just how well the information was protected. I was a victim of identity theft and it took me two years and a restoration service to get it all straightened out.

Just gotta check the privacy settings on occasion is all over there. Stay away from the silly applications that get sent around... otherwise I find it a great communication tool.

Agreed. As I said, it has its uses. It just wasn't worth the worry to me, but I admit that I've been spooked.

Well, I just quickly checked out today, and yes--it has slowed down here since we opened last week. I'm not going to worry about it, unless it doesn't pick up come training camps, and most of all, of course! Football Season arrives...

I had subscribed to a lot of the topics here. Now I'm going around unsubscribing because I get so many pop-up messages advising me of email that tells me that there have been new posts to the topics. It's a nice idea, but when it gets busy around here it can be distracting. I like that it is available, however and later I may subscribe to the one or two in which I am most interested. Or maybe I'll just get rid of Instant Messenger and subscribe to all of them again.

I only subscribe to being notified about private messages. There are so many topics now--and I figure by the time football season is upon us, it will be downright crazy with stuff! In the beginning I checked that I wanted to be notified when people were posting, but even with our small initial group I was getting messages constantly. It works better for me just to check over here every now and again to see what's doing.
