I think that Internet Explorer just likes to mess with me. On another note, David Carr was the first player ever drafted by the Houston Texans. It was just one more example of the fact that teams should build an offensive line first before spending a lot on a quarterback. He had lots of talent, but just set an NFL record for being sacked. It really took a toll on his development. I believe that in the right system and with some protection he could be very productive. It looks like Cutler is going to break his record for being sacked, by the way.

That mean that you have the home field advantage in one less game. The English crowd should at least be required to support the Niners.

I must confess that I find watching the grass grow more exciting than baseball. My dad would take me to watch the local Texas League games when I was a kid, but they bored me to tears. My dad's idea of a great game was a pitchers duel, where nothing at all happened for inning after inning. I wish your Giants well, though.

Em I would tend to agree with you, the baseball season is very long but the WS is always good. This series has been exciting from a Giants point of view. The 8th inning last night was epic.

I've long wished that I could get interested in another sport, because there are so many months without football. So far I've been unable to do so. Perhaps it's just as well, because it means that I get something useful done during the off season.

Congratulations on your teams' win, 16 F. They've got QUITE the freakish-looking bunch of players...not "the norm" (bunch of pretty boys). Which isn't a bad thing. What matters is they got the trophy.

:D

Thanks LH, I think that's what made the win impressive is that they have no "superstars". Every player contributed in the clutch. Rentaria was a great MVP choice.

They did have a solid team even if they didn't have a "Superstar" per se. They did have the highest payroll in the National league, so I was expecting them to do well.
Congrats again on the "W"!

For 2010...thank God. I'd probably be a MLB fan if Seattle had a team.

My father was a baseball fan. He would take me to the games of the local minor league team. I enjoyed being with my dad and eating peanuts, but the game has always been a sure cure for insomnia.

Seahawks will tear the Cardinal hearts out with their talons and the 49ers will stick our pick axes into the Rams skulls. How's that sound?

Umm...one can only hope, 16. We are tied for first place with the Rams for the NFC West Division. Rams are waaay better this season than people originally thought.

Bradford is having quite the year, SJ is a beast running back...I'm not worried, you're still gonna rip them apart. Carroll is going to take his anger out on STL for last week's loss. Watch it...

Cardinals ALMOST won the Super Bowl against the Steelers after winning the division at 9-7. So anything is possible.

You never know until they play. That's what makes it fun. In last year's Super Bowl I didn't have a clue who would win and it could have gone either way.

Seahawks, 5-4, have swept the Cardinals this season, and now hold the sole lead in the NFC West Division (which is the Nancy Division of the NFL, not sayin much...) But today's win was a pretty sound one; not perfect, but we had almost 500 yds of offense.

**low, slow whistle**
;)
