NEVER lose the enjoyment of today by worring about tomorrow! You have a whole week to savor every single day of being in the lead. Next week will take care of itself. Carpe diem.

I'm not worrying about tomorrow or next Sunday at all. Football is my hobby and entertainment; not my "faith."

I'm glad to hear it. I've known people who have missed all of the joy of life by worrying about something that might never happen.

Everyone has their relapses in that department from time to time. But I have learned to "let go and let God" where a lot of things are concerned.

And come on...this is FOOTBALL. It does not define my existence here on earth. It's a game and its entertainment. Sure, its my favorite entertainment, but there are much more important things in life to be concerned with. That said...

GO HAWKS!!

How great is it that Pete Carroll keeps getting to see his former players all around the NFL? This was after yesterday's game. I love it...

He's sent a lot of them up there that's for sure.

Using Photoshop is one of the large category of things that would be worth knowing how to do that I'm too lazy to learn.

Yet you're retired with nothing but time on your hands...I thought that's what retirement is supposed to be about. Discovering new things you didn't have time for during your hectic working life. I must be greatly mistaken.

You aren't mistake, of course. I've tried several different new things in the three years that I've been retired, but learning Photoshop isn't among them.

Congrats LH, Hawk fans on your W - leading the NFC West. Have to love what HC Carroll has brought to Seattle!

Thank you Baglady. After the game last night, I loved <3 seeing ESPN show the NFC leaders and the Seahawks were up there at 4-2. LOVED IT.

Hawks have moved up to #13 in the FOX Power Rankings (even though PR doesn't mean anything). Still waiting to see where ESPN spots them.

I congratulate the Seahawks, but I wonder about the Fox Sports rankings. The Texans had a bye week and they moved up one spot, from tenth to ninth. At that rate they could take off the rest of the season and they would be ranked number one. At the same time the Colts also had a bye week and they dropped one place, although they are still well ahead of the Texans.

Again, Power Rankings really don't mean a whole helluva lot...FOX has them at #13 and ESPN has them at #17. (The 3-3 Dolphins are ranked #16 by ESPN; Hawks are 4-2. Very subjective.) But it was the happiest news of my day so I'm taking it.

That's the spirit! Take all of the enjoyment from it that you can. I'm sure that winning was even more enjoyable. There are always positives to focus on. I really think that Carroll has them on the right track. It may take a little time, but if everybody will hang with him I'm confident that he can take the Seahawks all the way.

I have to agree there, Emeritus. Maybe not this season. But I think Pete Carroll will be the coach to take the Seahawks to the SuperBowl again some day... some day.

Sometimes the fans and the media, who really don't know what rebuilding requires, can grow impatient when the coach is doing exactly the right things. They demand wins NOW and aren't worried about the long-term prospects of the team.

Well we are definitely rebuilding. It doesn't hurt that our schedule is not the toughest. In fact, I think its darn near identical to the schedule we had in 2005 - when we ventured to the Super Bowl.

With our luck, if/when we make it to the SuperBowl again (some day - not expecting this season at all), we'll be up against the Steelers. How much you wanna bet?

Just as long as the Steelers don't bring their refs with them. I'm really beginning to wonder about that.

Well MAYBE the Steelers will have pissed off enough NFL fans by then that the Seahawks would actually have people ROOTING for them this time. Last time? Majority of NFL fans were rooting for the black 'n gold... ick.

I've rooted against the Steelers for a long time. They were in the same division with my Houston Oilers and were always in their way. That was in the days of Bradshaw and the Steel Curtain. The Houston Oilers were actually a good team, but the Steelers were racking up consecutive World Championships in those days.

After kicking five field goals in the Seahawks’ 22-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, Mare was named NFC special teams player of the week on Wednesday.
