I thought that the women already had all of the power. After years of making mistakes that my wife tirelessly pointed out to me, I just did whatever she said. Since I've been a widower I must have become a lot smarter, because I don't seem to make mistakes any more.

In my personal experience, women are the ones who make things happen in life. I'm not sure what men do anymore to be quite honest.

Perhaps you're right. I've heard that behind every successful man is a woman, nagging.

Maybe women wouldn't have NAG if the man got his ass off the sofa and actually pitched in more.

As I stated earlier Emeritus, IN MY EXPERIENCE... yes. Men like to take the easy way out of things and let women handle matters.

People are different. I could never sit on my ass and watch somebody else be overwhelmed. I wasn't raised with the "that's not my job" attitude. If you see something that needs to be done, do it. Sarah and I would divide up chores, but we always helped each other out.

I figured that to be the case, Emeritus. And I know other couples that that is the case. They're the lucky ones.

I've known men who got married expecting to get a free cook and maid. I could have told them that it would be cheaper to hire somebody, but I knew that they wouldn't listen. I got married because I wanted to share my life with somebody. You live twice as much that way.

There are more men out there like that than you realize Emeritus. More people out there just using others for their own selfishness....but let's get back to Seahawks football please. This really isn't the appropriate place for this conversation. Have a good day!

Quite pleased the Hawks got rid of Deion Branch (for a 4th round draft pick in 2011)!! Nice work, front office.

Yeah well, you weren't gettin' much from him anyways...although it's still tough to see BB fleece a 1st rounder outta ya'lls for a 4th rounder when?

Oh hey ya HG. I CAN believe this is where you've been hidin' out...I really CAN. CK stopped by Isportsweb and I wanted to stop by here... it looks good. I remember a lot of cool people from here. This place was alright. Go Hawks.

Can is just a cant that doesn't have a T at the end of it. Remember THAT.

CAN!

BTW, I've been brainwashed and I'm in a wharehouse down by the docks...can you....(static)....

Hey SD...good to see you in Switzerland! Yeah, Branch didn't really do much for us in 4 seasons. But the Pats seem to have faith in him so I'm sure he'll be productive there.

Bill Belichick doesn't seem to care so much about what a player has done as he does about how well he will fit in his scheme.

I'm just not impressed with BB (like some people are) and this is the Seahawks page, not the Pats page. The only reason I mentioned the Pats is that they took Branch off our hands.

Now that the Seahawks have traded Branch and Jones, how do you think that they will move? Every coach has his own style and likes players that fit what he wants to do.
