Nothing enriches your life life parenthood. I heard a quote that says "you haven't officially joined the human race until you have a child"................Congrats!

Nothing ever made me want to be a better man as much as holding my baby boy.

Yes one of the real miracles in life.....
Seeing her born ~ seeing her roll over ~ seeing her crawl ~ seeing her sit up ~ seeing her stand ~ seeing her walk ~ hearing her first words ~ watching her grow ~ walking her down the isle ~ watching her become a Mama and the cycle begins again...
This time it's just Granpa instead of Papa..... ;) <3

Echoing what TT said below...prefaced by watching my wife in labor for 14 hours, having the doctor say this baby has stage fright and we're taking her with a c-section. Watching my baby girl enter the world, tears of happiness flowing...............love like no other love. 13 going on 23. God help me, young Estrogen is baffling at times :D

Sarah and I weren't going to have any children, because there are WAY too many people in the world. Then we realized that if only the people who didn't give a damn had children, things would only grow worse. I wouldn't have missed it for anything!

A happy GOOD MORNING SWITZERLAND!

<3 That is so funny, Em. I actually belonged to Zero Population Growth (is that still around today?)--and when I got preggers after ten years of marriage, I was talked into having the baby by my late cousin Mychelle. The moment Josh was born (I had all my children 'awake and aware'--no drugs at all), I was in love like I'd never known. The rest is history. For the next five years, I was pregnant all the time, and I've never regretted a moment of my four children.
The reason I said it was 'funny,' Em, is that my cousin used that same rationale as you and Sarah in talking me into having my baby. Unfortunately, Mychelle never was able to have children of her own, and she was killed in a car wreck at an early age. I miss her so much, because she had no siblings and she and I were really like sisters. Every time I hug one of my children, I can see my beautiful Mychelle's face as she looked when she flew from California to Miami Beach to convince me. Life certainly takes some strange turns. <3

Oh yes, 16 (sorry, forgot to mention you in my last post), it is a very special love--like no other in the world. Your life changes forever when your first child arrives. I can't imagine what my life might have been, had I not had them (save for maybe we would be way, way richer, )You know I started in my mid thirties, which back in my day was really late. Now it is quite common, but all my friends were quite finished when I was starting.

You may have had more money, however you are way richer in your heart than you would be otherwise. IMO
BTW beautiful young lady there 16 and I remember those years very well... ;)

Thanks very much TT! Ditto on being way richer in your heart than in your wallet with a child or children in your life!

Nothing in the world is so comical to me as a little child, from the toddler stage to about age five. It's better than owning a monkey. You don't love them any less at other ages, but they don't make you laugh out loud as often.

Thanks for the well wishes all!
Sorry I haven't stopped in sooner - just enjoying settling in with the new addition.
Dylan is here also and I couldn't possibly be happier than I am right now.
Shadow is (of course) a great dad!
Adam is simply perfect in every way and was worth all the heartbreak we had to go through to have him
I tried posting a pic... but keep getting the same "file size" error I have gotten every time I have tried to post pics from the stupid Mac!
I would love for you to see some pics.... Most of you are Facebook friends also - you can see him there if I can't get him posted here :D
