PRIDE

Pride can make a fool of the best of us. It seems that every time that I've made a damn fool of myself it was because I took myself too seriously. Pride can make us see affronts when none are intended. Just because people don't agree with us doesn't mean that they are our enemies. They just see things differently. We are all friends here at Switzerland. When people are your friends you cut them some slack. Resentments hurt only the person who insists on holding them. It's time to let go and forget it.

Thanks, Em. Much appreciated. An old friend of mine (who has been separated by time), used to (appropriately) call it "foolish" pride. Nice post, dred. It reminded me of the '60 for some reason... :)

Maybe it was because body painting was a big fad in the Sixties?

Yes, Em. In the sixties we were big on body painting--we could bathe it off when we got tired of it. Today everyone tattoos it on--when they get older and see what happens to skin, they'll wish they could bathe it off too. :D

For some reason, tattoos on men don't bother me. I just can't wrap my head around them on women, though I have LOTS of girlfriends who have them. To each their own.

I'm with ck. I've seen them on people who had begin to sag and it would put you off your feed.
