I explained my absence yesterday on one of the other pages here (can't remember which...)--all computer-related. My sincere apologies, Em.
It's funny, but for some reason, whenever I show up here (at least most of the times), I seem to be the only user on the Board--today being no exception. At least it gives me a chance to work my way down the list of "new" posts to see what I missed...

I understood that of course, ck. Since Reecey seems to be otherwise occupied, I guess that I'll have to try to recruit another Texans fan. Finding another with Reecey's sense of humor will be tough, though.

What's going on with Reecey, Em? Is he okay? Just the other day he was saying how glad he is to be back here. I noticed his absence, but just figured he was working or something. Is there something I missed?

OMG! It's good to be back. I still have to talk to the IT guy, cause I couldn't log on all week long! Gave me plenty of time to read books and other crap though.

"And O how I've missed this page. Our holy grounds are blessed in Battle Red and Steal Blue. To make my disconnect even worse, somebody has been stealing the sports page from the break room, so I haven't even been able to read up on anything and see what's going on in the wide world of sports. Specifically professional and college football. GGrrrrrrr!"

Hey CK! I had just sent you an FB Message right before I attempted to log in online. And viola the internet works again. I'm still gonna ask the IT guy if anything was done to the network settings on this PC. I haven't been able to check my fantasy team, read anything sports related, or anything. Outside of my pleasure reading (and my job) I've had nothing that I wanted to do. I missed you guys LOTS!

I was actually out for a day and some extra myself, Reeceykins. In fact, I just got back on today. I missed everyone as well, and was so happy to have my comp up and running--I was giggling as I signed back in to Switzerland  . Happily, kicksy was online this afternoon too--so it was just grand to see him. He and kitty kitty have been by a few times, and I, like everyone else am very pleased to see their little icons running around the different rooms. As Em noted, "It's like old times..."

Title says Ricky will serve the Jets his own version of hard knocks. That's a cool sounding title. Lol.

Well, it's surely no secret that I love Ricky more than words can convey. Since he's been in Miami, he has shown only the finest work effort. If he's told to play first string--he does--tenaciously. Tell him he's second string and he blocks for Ronnie, his QB and anyone else who needs a brave and relentless blocker. He never complains or shows anything but a game face. Oh, and when he runs? Look out! I'm pretty sure (sadly  ) this is his last year before retirement, although, if someone offered him enough money (BTW--he has never complained about that "money" thing nor has he asked for more) I wouldn't be surprised if he took it and ran (pun intended) :D --and more power to him!

OOWWW I almost fell out my chair laughing at myself.

I been wanting to talk to you guys so bad this whole week! Lol! Can yall believe Andy Reid and the Eagles? Do they even know what they wanna do? God man. Those guys flip flop more than anything I've seen since Eric Mangini and John Gruden's game of Quarterback Musical Chairs. :?:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The Cowboys are a very talented team and they have their backs to the wall. I don't know if even Jerry Jones, Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett can keep them down any longer. My main hope is a doubt that they can outscore the Texans, who lead the NFL in scoring, total offense and rushing offense and are sixth in passing offense. If only our secondary wasn't so awful!

That Jet game has me holding my breath all ready! I noticed that Braylon Edwards has been given a really hard thrashing so far. After about 3 seconds of saying he would not play against the Dolphins, it changed to, he won't "start" against the Dolphins, but will play. I guess he'll be kept out at least one series    --or not. I have no illusions about the Dolphins this year. Our offense has a lot going for it, however, not being able to score is a big hindrance. The could not score in the preseason, and the have shown no inclination to score yet since the season began... There is no chemistry between Henne and his receivers, and the play calling thus-far is downright awful! If something is working for them, they abandon it. I'd love to be made a laughingstock of next week, and I would gladly take the teasing--but I don't see that happening...

Bye Kicks. Nice seeing ya again man. Hey CK and Em. We have to do our picks for this upcoming week. So far, I've been batting in the 60% range...which isn't good considering that I thought I knew my stuff and all of the teams. LMAO! Lets start it up. I have to get the list of the games for this week. BRB.
