Great to see stevie and kicksy around. The New Switzerland is The Olde Switzerland, kicksy--we just got some bells and whistles for it. Since I was forced to make a new website (without going into all the morbid details) I was able to get the rights to THE QUARTERBACK'S DEMONS back from my (previous now ) publisher. That allowed me to leave my publisher's website and attach Switzerland to mine. It also gave me the opportunity to finally incorporate all the suggestions and requests made by the Swiss family members toward improving it, so that it would be more fun and Swissies could add topic rooms for teams, and most any other thing they wanted to discuss.
Peace is still our Moderator and in charge of making sure no one gets hurt. He also has set up rules and regulations so they are clear, as well as directions and suggestions to make your visits here more enjoyable and helping you navigate the territories.
We have a Game Master now too--who posts games, like the weekly "Whose Eyes?" that is going on throughout the season. Various polls are also posted from time to time...
Peace has been key to the transition, and knows far more about the workings of Switzerland than I. I just come here to look pretty and visit with everyone, secure in knowing that Peace never rests and Switzerland is here, working beautifully, day after day after day after day.
So we are so glad to have you back with us and don't hesitate to ask Peace, should you have any questions or problems.

Thanks so much, Em, but there's nothing anyone can do. I don't know why Zach got a cheapie--he should know that I'd rather pay more and not have to worry about stuff like that. Whatever. Peter says he can bring my MAC in here (my bedroom) and set it up so I can use it. It has no problem with the cheapie router. I can't sit or stand too long, so using my lap top, where I can stretch out on my bed, is the best situation; however, if I have the MAC here, I can move around a bit. One of the bigger televisions in the house is in my room as well--as opposed to the smaller one in my office, which is also upstairs. Oh my. How lazy that makes me sound...Sorry

At that same time I was in Nam, because I went when I was drafted. The North Vietnamese said that they were winning and our side said that we were winning. From where I was, nobody was winning - there were just a lot of people dying. So many people dying! There comes a point when you aren't afraid any more because you've given up any hope of living through it. Eventually there came a day when everybody in my platoon was killed except me and I didn't think that I was going to make it either. What I was thinking about was that the enemy liked to mutilate the dead. I had a blooper - a grenade launcher - which is useless as a personal defense weapon. If you use it on somebody up close it will kill you too. I just keep firing and hoping that they wouldn't spot my position. Finally relief arrived and a dustoff helicopter evacuated me. They game me a medal for holding that position. Hell, what else could I do - I had a foot blown off! I came home a committed pacifist and I've never changed my mind. Young people get killed in old men's wars. I never marched or demonstrated, but nobody is more against war than I am.
