We are always delighted to see you, dred. People with a sense of humor are welcome everywhere. Well, perhaps I'd better modify that. I've seen groups that show no sense of humor at all, but I don't have to join them.

My picks are so frequently wrong that I'm tempted to pick against all of the teams that I like. Good morning, 16.

Yes I like the Jets because my girlfriend grew up on Long Island. Most islanders are Jets fans, most other parts of NY state prefer the Giants of course with exceptions. I know there's a lot of hate for the Jets and Rex Ryan but Ryan is a lot like Singletary (without the HOF ring). No BS style of coaching

I know that it may sound strange, but I admire Rex Ryan but dislike the Jets. It goes back to the Broadway Joe days. I don't even like the green and white uniforms. Perhaps it is because they were the darlings of a lot of New York sportswriters that I disliked.

Except for the stadium you were right. I seldom get it that straight.

Sorry. What I meant to say was "my homies."

On the subject of the JETS, I had great respect for the JETS back in the Namath days. Since then, and partially because they are one of my division rivals, I can't stand them. I've grown tired of dealing with their disgusting fans in my stadium, I think Ryan is another big mouth, FTOS like his father--time will tell about his coaching. Unfortunately, a lot of JETS fans have relocated to South Florida, and they never, ever miss a game. I'm sure those who've moved here are the absolute dregs, because every one of them that I encounter is mouthy, trashy and sometimes, downright mean. (Apologies to the exceptions, which I am sure are many).

LOL, that was really well done, ck. You said in the nicest way that the Jets fans who are decent people are exceptions.

OMG! Philly fans... I am SO grateful that they aren't in our division. It is just painful to play Philadelphia...

On the other hand, I have never had a rough time during a game against Oakland. I've heard that going to their stadium as an adversary is downright horrible, but as fans coming to another stadium, they are relatively nice and not a problem.

The only Philly fans that I've ever had any contact with are the ones who post on the Eagles page at Fox. Unless somebody comes to the page looking to start something, they are all nice. Of course, I've never seen them drunk and wound up. As for the Raiders fans, I always imagine being outside the stadium while the fans are going home and it looking like there has been a breakout from an asylum. That's pure prejudice, of course, because I don't know any of them.

Saints over Vikings...(dejavu)
Colts over Texans...(was very tempted to take the Texans though as I think they need this game more)
Patriots over Bengals...(nothing would make me happier than to be wrong here, edge to home field)
Falcons over Steelers...(was looking forward to seeing Dixon on the big dance floor, but alas they are sitting him for Batch)
Titans over Raiders...(have I told you that I hate the Raiders?)
Bears over Lions...(Lions should be much improved over last season)
Jaguars over Broncos...(coin flip home field, both going no where and Broncos are questionable with starting injuries)
Giants over Panthers...(no brainer and they will get a win in the stadium)
Browns over Bucs...(two horrible QBs from last year, I'll take the one without the broken thumb)
Dolphins over Bills...(I wonder why?)
49ers over Seahawks...(however I think the foundation Carroll is laying will keep them in the race at the end)
Packers over Eagles...(old fashioned shootout)
Cards over Rams...(two teams struggling to find an identity)
Cowboys over Skins...(I like what the Skins have done in the off season and will be much improved)
Jets over Ravens...(coin flip goes to home team)
Chargers over Chiefs...(was tempted to go with the home team as SD is playing less than full strength, but just can't)

Cool, when did they announce that? He was in the hunt for the Heisman before he got injured. I saw him allot out here and loved his toughness. Wanted to see it at the next level.

You know what feature I like best here in The New Switzerland? "View new posts." Now that we have so many topic rooms, you hit that and know what's hot and what's not. Of course, I'm so nosy, I have to check each and every room that has convo going, whether it has something to do with a subject I am interested in, or not. As I've gotten to know the New Switzerland better, it's gotten so much easier to run around here. In the beginning, I was somewhat confused and complained to the "administrators" daily. I tend to also get messaged when others have issues, so I was always bringing those complaints as well. I guess it's like anything else, you just need a little time to figure it out. I suppose that I'm from the "I want it NOW!" generation. (The ORIGINAL, not the second movie. That one I resented and disliked immensely. I'm just sayin'... ;)
